English Bulldogs Breeders Pictures - Description
English Bulldogs bear a somewhat intimidating and vicious appearance, which largely reflects their past assignment. They have stocky bodies, massive heads, wrinkly muzzles and muscular paws. They are not very big in size, but are very strong. Besides, they feature thick and wrinkled skin, which used to provide protection in bull baiting. Flat and heavy skulls allow the Bulldogs to dodge blows and fag out bulls.
Bulldogs have dark round eyes, which are set wide apart and have small, folded ears. They are medium sized; males reach 14 to 16 inches in height, and females stand 12-14 inches tall. Weight: dogs 53-55 pounds, bitches 49-51 pounds. Bulldogs occur in a variety of color, including fawn, brindle, pale yellow, brown or combined color. Black Bulldogs are excluded from show rings.
English Bulldogs Breeders Pictures - Temperament
Despite their threatening appearance, these dogs are wonderful companions for family life. They are friendly and easy-going, and are very good with children. They get on well with other pets in the house, although they may exhibit aggression towards strangers and intrusive animals. They are very courageous and protective around their owners.
English Bulldogs Breeders Pictures - Care and Training
Bulldogs are sensitive to temperature fluctuations and are likely to suffer from overheating in summer. Therefore, do not spend a long time outdoors with English Bulldogs. Do not expose them to overstrain. Exercise should be moderate, and it should not include long distance walks or runs.
Bulldogs are prone to skin problems. Do not bathe them too often but wipe the muzzle and the areas in the folds with a damp piece of cloth in order to prevent infection and inflammation. English Bulldogs are not very good for obedience training, because they have a stubborn streak.
